Anesthesiologist training is mandatory requirement for an anesthesiologist. Anesthesiology is the science and medical procedure of relieving pain. It is he who monitors the patient after the operation and he is also the one who determines if the patient is ready to leave the recovery room.
Becoming an anesthesiologist, one has to go through education and Anesthesiologist training. He is required to go through the following:
- Earn a pre medical course or a bachelor’s degree preferably in the field of natural sciences from an accredited medical school.
- Must complete the four year medical schooling.
- Must complete a year general internship after his medical schooling. During his internship, he will be able to learn to diagnose or treatment in other areas.
- After he completes his one year general internship, it is time for him to do a three-year residency where he will learn various medical aspects and technology of his profession.
Anesthesiologist should posses the following traits:

- Have the ability to sooth ailing patients.
- Be able to stay calm even in tight and stressful situations.
An anesthesiologist’s task includes the following:
- He checks on the conditions of the patients determining the best way in treating them. This is done by reading the patients’ medical charts, checking on possible allergies and reactions to medicines.
- He meets up with the patients, examines them discuss the risks involve, listens to the patient’s issues and concerns.
- He also meets up with the members of the medical team, discuss and decide the methods and medicines to administer before, during and after the operation.
